Ignore new layering system when using ‘shuffle’
Gemma Minihan
As a user who needs outfit inspiration, I use ‘shuffle’ all the time. The new ‘select or reorder layers’ means I have to ‘set up’ an outfit with all the various parts (shoes, bottom, 1st layer, second layer etc) and then this layer selection ‘sticks’ throughout the shuffle process. So this means every new outfit I shuffle to has the same formula. The good thing about shuffle was the randomness e.g. sometimes a shirt appeared alone, other times as a layering piece with something under it, sometimes as a layering piece with something over it. This has been totally lost.
There is also still no proper layer options to reflect reality. I used to have to categorise cardigans as blazers to use as second or third layers. Now blazers have magically turned into outerwear so don’t even layer - they sit behind. So now I have had to re-categorise cardigans as knitwear then set them up under layers as on top of a top, and to show only half of them. Exhausting. I don’t think this is an improvement. My ‘quick shuffle’ and save a new exciting idea has gone and, for me, much of the USP of Fits has gone with it. 😔

Gemma, I agree with you on both topics (quick shuffle and blazers in outerwear). Glad to hear one topic will be fixed soon :) I’d love a real cardigan category though, mine are also stuck under the blazers category

Thanks for the feedback Gemma Minihan.
I'm working currently on another improvements that lets you define which categories are in which slots. This means that you will be able to define if a blazer is outerwear or 2nd layer or both. This will come in the following days.
As for the shuffle: I understand your comment, let me think about a solution here. There have been other users basically asking for the opposite: A way to control the layers in the shuffle to make sure it always included relevant layers. So now it's in improvement for them but seems to be worse for you. I will need to balance this or make an option somewhere to choose if you want to randomize layers or not
