It would be great if I could add Sweaters ( medium layer) to Shirts ( internal layers) and, in the end, decide which coat ( external layer) would go best at the switching option

you can do this now with the new layer system in the "Dressing room" feature. Try it out. Go to "Create outfit" > "Dressing room".
